# How to get a TxFlow access code

TxFlow is gated: you need an access code before trading, and several reviews wrongly say access is open. Where codes come from, and the scam risk.

TxFlow is gated. You cannot simply connect a wallet and trade, which is how most decentralised
exchanges work and what several published TxFlow reviews incorrectly say about this one.

That error is worth noticing for its own sake. If a review did not get as far as discovering it
could not place a trade, consider how much of the rest of it was checked.

## What the gate actually is

TxFlow requires an **access code** before trading is enabled. Codes are issued through
TxFlow's **official Discord**, and the platform has run on invite-style access since around
April 2026, shortly after its 28 March 2026 launch.

A referral link carries a code with it, which is the simplest route: following one gets you
through the gate and applies the fee discount at the same time.

## Access code or referral code

These get used interchangeably and they are not the same thing.

An **access code** unlocks trading. That is all it does.

A **referral code** additionally sets the fee relationship. You get **5% off your fees on your
first $25 million of volume**, and whoever referred you earns **10% of your net trading fees**
for as long as you trade. Creating a referral code of your own requires $100,000 of cumulative
volume, and self-referral is not allowed.

So if you are going to walk through a gate anyway, walking through one that discounts your fees
is free money. Mine is `TXPUSH` and I will not pretend to be neutral about which link you use:
I earn from it. The 5% you save is real regardless of whose link it is, and if you would rather
not use mine, get a code from the Discord instead. I would rather you trade with a discount
than without one.

## The scam risk, which is the real reason to read this

Gated access plus a Discord plus an airdrop rumour is close to a perfect environment for
fraud, and this is where people actually lose money. Not to the protocol, to the queue outside
it.

**Reach the Discord from txflow.com only.** Not from a search result, not from a reply in a
thread, not from a DM. Fake Discords impersonating gated launches are routine, and they are
convincing because the real thing already feels exclusive and slightly confusing.

Then hold these four lines:

- **Codes are free.** Anyone selling one is stealing.
- **No code requires a wallet signature to claim.** If claiming asks you to sign something,
that signature is the attack. It is usually a token approval that lets someone move your
  funds later.
- **Nobody legitimate DMs you a code first.** Admins do not slide into your DMs. People
  impersonating admins do, constantly.
- **No code requires your seed phrase.** Nothing ever does, for anything.

The uncomfortable part is that the gate makes all of this more dangerous, not less. A reader
who has been told access is exclusive and limited is exactly the reader who will rush a
decision rather than check a URL.

## Before you deposit anything

Two checks, in this order, and neither is optional.

**One: check your wallet type.** TxFlow's own documentation advises against
account-abstraction wallets (smart contract wallets rather than standard key pairs) and states
the worst case is **funds stuck in the contract**. If you sign in to your wallet with an email
or a social login, or recovery runs through guardians rather than a seed phrase, check before
you send anything. I wrote out how to tell in ninety seconds in
[the wallet that gets your funds stuck](/articles/txflow-wallet-funds-stuck). This is the most
likely way to lose money here and it is almost entirely avoidable.

**Two: do a round trip with a small amount.** Deposit a few dollars of USDC, place the smallest
trade the interface will accept, then withdraw it. Ten minutes. If any step fails you have
learned it for the price of a coffee rather than the price of your position. I do this on every
new venue and it has saved me twice.

## What you get once you are through

USDC collateral. Perpetual fees of **0.015% maker and 0.045% taker** at the base tier, spot at
0.040% and 0.070%. Free deposits, withdrawals costing 0.1 to 0.5 USDC depending on network.
Around 150 perpetual pairs plus tokenised US stocks, metals and oil.

Worth knowing before you get excited about the fees: they are **identical to Hyperliquid's**,
to the fourth decimal place. TxFlow has adopted that fee card wholesale, so the "cheaper fees"
claim you will read elsewhere is simply false. I put the two schedules side by side in
[TxFlow vs Hyperliquid](/articles/txflow-vs-hyperliquid).

## Should you bother

If you want tokenised equity or commodity exposure next to crypto perps on the same
collateral, yes, because little else offers it.

If you are here because of the airdrop, understand there is **no confirmed airdrop**, only a
points system and a fee rebate, and that the gate is part of what makes the rumour feel
credible. I went through that properly, with the four numbers that will actually answer it, in
[will TxFlow be the next hype](/articles/will-txflow-be-the-next-hype).
