Binance sign-up link and fee discount

The exchange I have used longest. What it is genuinely good at, where Indian users hit friction, and the sign-up link that carries a fee discount.

What's good

  • Deepest order books anywhere, so large orders fill close to the price you see
  • Almost every coin worth owning is listed, usually before the Indian exchanges list it
  • The P2P desk works reliably for INR in and out
  • Fee discount applies from the first trade with the sign-up link

What isn't

  • The interface assumes you already know what you are doing
  • INR deposits go through P2P, which is an extra step and needs care
  • Support is slow when something genuinely goes wrong

I have used Binance longer than any other exchange, and it is still where most of my spot holdings sit. Not because it is the friendliest. It is not. But because liquidity matters more than anything else once you are trading real size.

What liquidity actually buys you

On a thin exchange, a large market order eats through the order book and you fill several percent worse than the price on screen. On Binance the book is deep enough that this rarely happens outside genuinely obscure pairs. If you are buying ten thousand rupees of Bitcoin you will never notice. If you are buying ten lakh, it is the difference between a good fill and an expensive lesson.

Getting rupees in and out

There is no direct INR bank deposit. You use the P2P desk: you are matched with another person, you transfer rupees to them by UPI or bank transfer, and they release the crypto from escrow.

It works, and I use it, but treat it carefully:

  • Stay inside the platform. Anyone who asks you to move the conversation elsewhere is trying to remove the escrow that protects you
  • Check the counterparty’s completed-order count and completion rate before accepting
  • Keep the bank reference for every transfer, because the 1% TDS and the 30% tax both need records at filing time

Who should not use it

If you have never placed a trade before, the sheer number of tabs will work against you. Start somewhere simpler, learn what a limit order is, then come back when the interface stops being the obstacle.

If you sign up through the link on this page I receive a share of the trading fees you pay. It costs you nothing extra and the discount is real. I would recommend Binance either way. I did for years before any of this existed, but you should know the arrangement.
