People open a KuCoin account for one reason: it lists small projects before Binance does. It is worth being clear-eyed about what that means.
Early access cuts both ways
Getting in before a large exchange listing is how some of the biggest gains in crypto happened. It is also how most of the total losses happened, because the great majority of small projects fail. The listing is not a filter. KuCoin is not telling you the project is good. It is telling you the project paid to be listed and met a low bar.
If you are going to buy here:
- Assume the position can go to zero, and size it so that outcome does not matter
- Check the liquidity before you buy, because getting out of a thin coin during a fall is much harder than getting in during a rise
- Do not confuse “not yet on Binance” with “about to be on Binance”
